We’re looking for community partners in northern Alberta, where we will provide FREE consulting services to help you enable diverse housing development in your community.
Using a similar process as the original EHC project, we’ll conduct research and prepare relevant solutions to address your unique local housing needs through increasing local housing diversity and choice.
This time, the focus is on Northern Alberta Rural Communities – EHC North.
Various definitions exist to delineate ‘northern Alberta’. For the purposes of this research, the definition and boundary (map right) used by the Northern Alberta Development Council (NADC) has shown to be the most relevant. NADC is an Alberta government agency, whose mandate is to assist the region’s 150 communities in their development efforts. This boundary is also used by the University of Alberta to determine eligibility for northern research grants. Since the NADC boundary and area provides a suitable range and number of rural communities to draw from, this will allow for a diverse examination of various housing landscapes within northern Alberta.
If your community falls within this area, and you are keen to partner with the EHC team for the new research project, reach out to us or sign up for the Information sessions offered below.
